New Writing Prompt: "We can shoot rockets into space, but we can't cure anger or discontent." John Steinbeck
Which do you feel Americans should invest more in: space travel or mental health? Explain your choice. Be clear about WHY you feel the way you do. Use support from your personal knowledge or things you've read or seen.
I say they should invest in more space, travel, and mental health because when you travel its relaxing for most people. When I went to Washington D.C., it was so relaxing and I love going on vacations. Also we should invest in mental health because lots of people suffer from it everyday and how would you fell if you were affected by it every single day? I think we should invest in more cures for health issues like cancer or the Coronavirus.

What is the first thing you are going to do when the stay-home order is lifted?

The first thing I am going to do when this order is lifted is tough to figure out. The reason I think this is because there is so much I want to do after this is lifted. I mainly want to visit my family that I haven't seen in a while. I also want to go shopping with my mom what I know will happen because she wants to also go. Even though I never liked shopping, I need to go to get new clothes. Also I want to go to the Quad Cites and go to the ISLE Capri with my family.

Skeptical Baby meme
During this time we are quarantined I have been bored. I have been doing my work in the morning. Then I join Zoom calls with my friends and teachers. I want to go back to school already. I know this Covid-19 is a bad thing but i want to see my friends. I also want to see my teachers before I go on to High School. At first I liked when school was cancelled for a while but I don't like doing E-learning.

A New Year

1.Last year was the year of getting my first deer.

2. This year will be the year of learning to dunk.

3. I can improve my new year by reading and getting better grades.

4. My favorite part about last year was being able to go to Washington D.C. It was the best trip I have been on in years. I love traveling even to somewhere where there are many monuments that I enjoy. I love visiting monuments that are about the nation's history.

5. My most successful story about last year was getting my first deer. I got it on December 29th. I love hunting but I have never shot a deer until then. I also go duck hunting on the river with family. I have always seen my uncle and grandpa get a deer when I am out there with them but that day was my day not theirs.

 6. If I was able to celebrate New Years I would want to go to London. I have always wanted to travel to London for a vacation. It would be even better to celebrate New Years in London.

7. Describe last year in 5 words. The best year so far!! I say this because this year I had the best time I have had.

8. Goals for next year. 1. Be more athletic. I am going to try to play more sports. 2. I am wanting to get in shape for sports. I am going to run when we got to the gym to attempt to stay in shape. 3. I am wanting to become a better reader. I am going to attempt to read everyday because I do not like reading and need to become a better reader.

My passion

I love veteran monuments. They are a big part of our country's history. The monuments allow us to honor our US veterans. There are monuments for every war that has been fought and even some for veterans. The ones for the veterans are for our countries brave men and women who have fought for us. Respectfully, there are many monuments around the country that get millions of visits each year.

One example for a veteran monument is the Vietnam memorial walls in Washington D.C. Personally, I did visit this monument. Honorably, people show respect, place flowers, and are quiet while honoring our Vietnam War Veterans. When I visited the wall I had chills down my spine. I started to tear up when I seen it because there are thousands that risked there lives for us to have freedom. Sadly, when you look down the wall you see about 58,000 names of Vietnam soldiers that have passed away for our country. The wall is a honorable monument that many Americans see daily.

Another example would be the Iwo Jima Statue in Washington D.C.  Honorably, I have been to this monument also. This was the monument I have always wanted to visit and I finally got to. When I went here I did not want to leave. The reason is because the people on this statue have risked their life for us. The people on this statue are a big part of our country. They fought for us and deserved to raised that flag for our country.

Honoring Veteran Monuments is a honorable thing to do. It does not just show your respect but it also shows that you care about our veterans that have risked their lives. The veterans could have just stayed home on their couch but they did not want to. Just because they have fought for us does not mean they wanted to.

Grandson pays tribute by running 5K a day to support Alzheimer's research

In PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania June Widrig was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. At this time she was living her final years. When she was diagnosed with this her and her family started having dinner every Sunday at Chili's. Her grandson started to run 5 Ks for victims of Alzheimer's. He would run every morning before school and even got others involved with him.

I would love to do this if I could run. I would do it for people with Chrone's. The reason is because my uncle has had Chrone's since he was 14. I was shocked to see that he ran for his grandma everyday. He even runs a 5 K what is about 3.5 miles each day. I also don't think anyone should have to suffer from Alzheimer's or Chrone's.

My favorite holiday is Veteran's Day. I love honoring veterans. They deserve more respect then they get. Veterans don't deserve living on streets. So for this task I used Wordart.com.
